Founder & CEO

Jean-Christophe Baillie graduated in computer science and physics from the École Polytechnique in Paris, where he also studied economics and design. Following his work at the Sony Computer Science Lab, he then founded and directed the Cog Robotics Unit at ENSTA/ParisTech .
In 2006, he founded Gostai to pursue his vision of the Smart Machines revolution, by bringing innovation to market. In 2007, he received the Pierre Faurre award from the Polytechnique Foundation for international business excellence.

Chief Operating Officer

Benoit Pothier has more than 10 years of experience in technology and leadership in the telecommunications, embedded devices and robotics industries. His extensive operational and technological development experience includes working on complex telecommunication products at Alcatel-Lucent and on innovative networked embedded devices in SMEs. He joined Gostai as an associate at the creation of the company. He now runs the operations, contributes to the strategic direction and set-ups processes to ensure its achievement. Benoit Pothier holds an executive MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in computer science and electrical engineering from French INSA Lyon.

Chief Software Architect

Dr. Akim Demaille graduated from École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications . He holds a PhD in computer science from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications. He is an active contributor to Free Software; he maintained GNU a2ps, GNU Autoconf, participated in the development of GNU Automake, and is still involved as a maintainer of GNU Bison, the Yacc-like parser generator. He was a researcher at the EPITA Research and Development Laboratory (LRDE), which he directed for four years. He worked on compiler construction and program transformation. Akim is now leading the development of Urbi 2 within the Kernel Team.

VP Sales & Marketing

Julien Seret graduated from Grenoble INP in product design and industrial engineering and holds an executive MBA from ESSEC-Mannheim . He is passionate about technology and business models. He has an extensive experience in business development and product management in high-tech industries, ranging from electronic security to consumer electronics and telecommunications. Serving STMicroelectronics in several countries, Julien successfully introduced secured technologies in key governmental and telecom markets. At Archos , Julien brought from concept to market B-to-B programs that consisted in integrating third party services into connected devices.
