Remote Presence System

A telecommunication tool for e-healthcare
Jazz is a remote presence system for medical doctors. MDs can talk, hear, see, be seen but most importantly they can move freely in a distant place. Mobility, freedom of movement and interactivity are key for an experience of communication close to physical presence, well beyond videoconferencing or using a cellphone. From home, from the office and more generally from any computer connected to the internet, MDs can instantly be through Jazz in the hospital, in the emergency unit or the post operation unit and interact with patients or the medical staff.

Rich information about the patient
Jazz improves the level of information available to the distant practitioner: he can see the patient, observe the expression on his face and his body language, control some monitoring information or check that a dressing is well applied... He can choose the best viewing angle and visit patients without having to ask for any local staff to help him.

Jazz humanizes distant communication
Jazz is by no mean desinged to replace physical presence: it makes distant communication more effective and pleasant for both sides. Many healthcare professionals and patients are afraid that e-healthcare might bring dehumanization. On the contratry: Jazz contributes to a more social communication compared to other telecommunication devices.
